Terms of Service

Tandem is a noticeboard where neighbours find each other to trade skills. These terms cover your use of the site. By creating an account you accept them.

What Tandem is — and is not

Tandem lets members publish listings and message each other. Any exchange you agree is between you and the other member. Tandem is not a party to it, does not vet members, does not supervise the work, does not handle payment for it, and takes no commission. We provide the introduction; everything after that is yours to arrange and yours to judge.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older.
• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself.
• Your listings are visible to members in the country on your profile.
• You are responsible for what you post and for what you agree to do.

What you may not post

• Anything illegal, or any service you are not licensed to provide where a licence is required.
• Spam, advertising, or listings that exist to drive traffic elsewhere.
• Harassing, hateful, or deliberately misleading content.
• Other people's personal information, or photos you have no right to use.

Members can report a listing. We may close or remove listings and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Credits and payment

Publishing a listing costs one credit. New accounts receive two free credits. You can buy more through Stripe: a €2.99 pack of 5 listings, or a €8.99 pack of 100. Prices are shown in euros and include any applicable tax.

• Credits do not expire and have no cash value.
• Both packs are one-off payments. Nothing renews, and there is no subscription to cancel.
• Because a credit is consumed the moment a listing is published, purchased credits are non-refundable once used. If something goes wrong, email us — we would rather sort it out.

Safety

Use your judgement. Meet in public where you can, tell someone where you are going, and do not send money or share documents with someone you have not met. Keep conversations in Tandem until you are comfortable sharing contact details.

Liability

Tandem is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what members do, for the quality or safety of any exchange, or for loss arising from arrangements made through the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which removes your listings and photos. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We will update this page if the terms change, and the date above with it.

Note: these terms are written in plain language for a small community project and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. If Tandem grows, have them checked against consumer and marketplace law in each country it operates in.
